A Needs Forming Basis for Men's Ministry
** This Workshop is Limited to Clergy Only **
presented by: Rev. Neil Strong
Rationale: As a general condition in the Body of Christ, men are isolated emotionally and relationally. As a group men want close friends and do not want to be isolated, however, they continue to process life, relationships, and pressures individually.
Solution: The biggest problem confronting those trying to help men is creating the contexts for producing meaningful relationships which bridge these critical gaps in the lives of men.
I don't see effective men's ministry in most churches. Why aren't men's ministries more effective? The number one reason, I believe, is that pastors aren't personally involved in men's ministry.
The Call to Pastors: The church is in desperate need of help in addressing the needs of men. Those with eyes to see know there is a call. While many men's ministries exist, there is a gaping hole in the bow of the ship. This breach needs to be addressed by Pastor's in the local church.
